Generation

The Early Years

They are the young tomorrows world
How fresh how bright the tender furl
Yet calloused not by cruel mankind
Unyielding to the undefined
Striving coping do remember
Days of joy before December
The early days those wonder years
Full of promise letting few tears
Torn by truths of unfair practice
Farewell to March as time prescribes
Yearning for youth years yielding zestful strides
In the strife the right to survive
Start a family trust to thrive
The June demands the press of time
The wants the needs the drive for mine
Extend with heart a helping hand
For those in need in any land

The Late Years

The span is long the effort strong
One feels the pain of commerce wrong
October tide now wholly spent
Leaves not a measured monument
Fear terror and the unforeseen
Leaves a family in between
The time is here that haunted year
The clarion call crystal clear
Hard work fulfilled the joys of March
The jinx of June that lonely arch
All duly willed in November
With wisdom comes your December
Your candle burned the flame self-spent
A path well marked posts each event
Best was your course for human kind
Worst you have done is burned behind
So rest with smiles you are still here
A seasoned treasured souvenir
