Hail Far HIlls genteel home of The Fair School
Where fledgling cadets join to learn flight rule
Staid village elite well-born in the main
Concoct a reception in their domain
Just nice young men to meet debutantes fair
Selected and cleaned with Commander's care
Navy recruits obedient at bay
American names the call for the day
Cadets with Anglo-Saxon pedigree
Favored to favor the local love-lee
Ask not those patriots with mongrel name
Foreign to some in the Puritan frame
Naval flight cadets drilled to muster life
Gentlemanly free from shamed senseless strike
With the world at war calculate their fall
Eclipsing every vile pernicious wall
Stalwart young men to serve a nation's need
Keen for combat to stay the treasured creed
Training for war ordains a bloody test
Fighting men gear for the ultimate quest
Convoluted ends corrugate raw lists
Discerning Anglo names as royalists
Aye! what a glum life such sub-grouping brings
'March on' in cadence and forgive the stings
