Gatekeepers

The world well knows their treachery
From ancient days to modern times
Denying some a chance a dream
Eager to trash one's self esteem
Yet decisions made reight or wrong
Causing tough tears and pain along
Leaving family in the main
To judge the flame of others gain
Still some steeled souls have proved
them wrong
Unjustly hurt rose bright and strong
Poets thespians statesmen all
Victory fresh beyond recall
Know that power of one pervades
To spoil gatekeepers escapades
